MIT Big Data Challenge

Over the course of the last two months myself and some of my lab mates participated in the first annual MIT Big Data Challenge put on by the BigData@CSAIL.  This year’s data consisted of geolocated taxi cab pickups and dropoffs across Boston along with public transit ridership data, geotagged tweets, and data on events that occurred around the city.

I’m incredibly proud to announce that my colleagues took first place in the prediction category and that I placed second overall in the visualization category.
